Asian markets end with moderate losses

Asian markets today ended with moderate losses. The Shanghai Composite was the prominent loser down 1% at 2,986. - Markets off day"s low - Sensex off day"s low - Sensex in red in early trades - Power Grid up on overseas foray plans - Cadila Healthcare gains on 114% jump in Q3 net - US markets end flat Sensex ends up 35pts Cox & Kings Q3 net jumps 88% to Rs 19 cr UCO Bank seeks shareholders" nod for fund raising Negative view on state-run oil cos: Fitch Jan cement sales in high double-digit The Shanghai Composite has recovered from the day"s low and is flat at 3,016. The Seoulm Composite and Taiwan Weighted are down marginally at 1,627 and 7,591, respectively. The Straits Times is up nine points at 2,750. ________________________________________________ (Updated at 0821 hrs) Asian markets are mixed in early trades, ahead of a US Federal Reserve policy decision. The Hang Seng has added 42 points to 20,151. The Nikkei has advanced 30 points to 10,356. The Straits Times is up 10 points at 2,751. The Taiwan Weighted is unchanged at 7,599. However, the Shanghai Composite has dropped 41 points (1.3%) to 2,978. The Seoul Composite is down five points at 1,633.
