Markets continue to languish

Markets continue to languish in red. The Nifty is down 18 points 5,046. Jaiprakash Associates continues to trade in red and is now down 4.6% at Rs 244. Tata Motors and Larsen & Toubro have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 547 and Rs 1,630, respectively. ICICI Bank has shed 2% at Rs 910. Reliance, Maruti Suzuki, BHEL and Tata Power have slipped 1% each. On the other hand, Infosys has gained 2.2% at Rs 2,215. ITC and Bharti Airtel have added 2% each to Rs 249 and Rs 339, respectively. Sterlite, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Communications and Sun Pharma have moved up around 1% each. The market breadth is positive. out of 2,261 shares traded 1,143 have advanced while 1,044 have declined.

JLR dangles carrot to push back salaries for 15 days
