Runu Ghosh sentenced 3 years imprisonment in DA case

Former deputy director general of Telecom department Runu Ghosh was today sentenced to three years rigourous imprisonment by a court here for amassing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 20.94 lakhs. Special CBI Judge V K Maheshwari ordered confiscation of the illegal wealth amassed by Ghosh as a public servant when she was working under the then Telecom minister Sukhram and imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on the 57-year-old former Indian Audit and Account Services officer.

Andhra to come out with solar policy soon
Andhra Pradesh will soon evolve a policy to encourage the solar energy industry. This will complement the to-be- announced Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission, a dedicated national policy for solar energy that outlines 20 giga watt of solar generation by 2020, said chief minister K Rosaiah.
