Sensex slips again; realty index down 2%

The Sensex after attempting recovery has once again slipped into the red. The index is now at 16,677, down 108 points. The NSE Nifty is at 4,947, down 42 points. - Markets trade flat - Markets remain in negative territory - Markets have a sedate start - Sensex falls most in two weeks - FII-TO-FII TRADES: PNB traded at 7% premium - Thermax bags Rs 478 cr order from Orissa-based firm Among the Sensex-30 stocks, Reliance Infrastrcuture and Bharti Airtel have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 1,077 and Rs 285, respectively. ICICI Bank, Wipro and DLF have dropped 2% each to Rs 866, Rs 632 and Rs 359, respectively. Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, SBI, Maruti, TCS and Sun Pharma have declined 1-2% each. ACC on the other hand has added 2% at Rs 747 and HDFC is up 1% at Rs 2,783, respectively. The market breadth is negative, out of 2,557 shares traded on the BSE, 1,375 have declined and 1,102 have advanced so far on the BSE. The BSE realty and the consumer durable indices are down 2% each. They are followed by TECk, metal and IT indices, down 1% each.
